The moment has come...

The moment has come..., originally uploaded by knautia.

I haven't seen a wall that's impressed me as much as this one in a very long time. There's something shocking about the fallopian tubes, even without the syringe, that made me stand in front of it and wonder why it was so shocking. It's shocking, and thought-provoking, and very beautifully done, and I love it.

The endless rain has made me really miss the chance to find graffiti - come back summer, all is forgiven!

Deaner!

Deaner, originally uploaded by knautia.

Sometimes I feel like I need to give more context to the graff - and at the moment all 3 of the walls at the bottom of the Deaner look fantastic.

This should really be printed out huge, taped into a circle and worn round your head, revolving slowly...

Also circular graff in a way - Ziml slope to Ziml & Cheo, to Cheo & Boswell to Boswell, Soker, 3dom, Turroe, Shade One & Pen - woo!

If you click through the photo you'll find links to the individual walls

There's so much that's good on this wall - Boswell, Soker, 3dom, Turroe, Shade One and Pen... Superb!

Children of the Can Jam!

Dicy-Soker-Feek-Ponk, originally uploaded by knautia.

It was a freezing weekend, but despite the sub-zero temperatures and Arctic winds off the Avon, a huge posse of fabulous and talented writers from waaaaay back in the day through to the brandest of new mustered on the harbourside to paint the Bristol Museum fence.

All this choreographed by FLX, in honour of the publication of Children of the Can: 25 Years of Bristol Graffiti. For more info, see FLX's blog here... Had such a good time, meeting people whose stuff I've loved from the book (and being too shy to say hello to others - if you ever read this, hello!) as well as catching up with a whole load of people I admire... Am just about thawed out, and i just turned up at the ends and took pics!

Because of cold, life, all sorts of things, the fence isn't finished yet... but watch this space for the joiner to end all joiners in a few weeks... and in the meantime enjoy these - with more here

Mina Road tunnel

St Werburgh's tunnel, originally uploaded by knautia.

I'm obsessed with the gorgeous graff in the tunnel at the mo' - given the last couple of weeks having a couple of rain-proof walls can only be a good thing.... Both of these are best large - double-click on them and choose "all sizes"....
